I Want to Take Your Money and Run. I want to take your money I want to take your money I want to take your money and run Everyday I hold my head, I can't believe the things you said about me. Now I lying in your bed and I know the things you don't know I know you said about me. It's just you hold me in your arms and you act like nothings wrong at all ah, ah, ah, ah I want to take your money I want to take your money I want to take your money and run I could wait until you get up and when you’re gone I'll grab your pocket book and take a look I could take your comb and become a crook remove the bookmarks from your book or steal your rabbit’s foot It's just you hold me in your arms and you act like nothings wrong at all ah, ah, ah, ah, I want to take your money I want to take your money I want to take your money and run It's just you hold me in your arms and you act like nothings wrong at all ah, ah, ah, ah, I want to take your money, I want to take your money I want to take your money and run I want to take your money, I want to take your money I want to take your money, I want to take your money I want to take, take, take, your money I want to take, take, take, your money I want to take, take, take, your money I want to take, take, take, your money and run!

Your soft seduction has come to take me home. In between the sheets of desire you find yourself alone But whatever will be we’ll be I ask you so tenderly When the band begins to play and they’ve nothing good to say And the words they come out wrong you know we’ll have to carry on But I don’t want to trouble your head Unplug the telephone slipping though the slider You think nobody's home there is no reason to deny her But whatever will be we’ll be I ask you so tenderly When the band begins to play and they’ve nothing good to say And the words they come out wrong you know we’ll have to carry on But I don’t want to trouble your head Should I ask myself to leave and let the flowers die Were you guessing my reprieve? I’ve seen that look within your eyes again But whatever will be we’ll be I ask you so tenderly When the band begins to play and they’ve nothing good to say And the words they come out wrong you know we’ll have to carry on But I don’t want to trouble your head So I never will again, who knows where or when So I never will again, because I don’t want to trouble your head So I never will again, who knows where or when So I never will again.

Rendered 03:37
Rendered. I never though I would be in touch with you, After all the things that we’ve been though I figured there was little I could do and so I rendered. You came and caught me so unexpectedly, I wasn’t sure who I was to be. My nature proved way to willingly and so I rendered. But I never figured out how to stop, playing with the hands upon the clock that time forgot Was I expected to be openly surprised? Upon the thought that you’d realized In retrospect it had all been compromised and so I rendered. You said that everything is questionable I know that’s what you’ve been told But I don’t feel responsible and so I rendered. But I never figured out how to stop, playing with the hands upon the clock, that time forgot That I forgot I promised not, so why you coming to me, asking so tenderly, When you know that it’s wrong, cause too much it gone, your acting so tough, Well enough is enough, it was over I know, a long time ago, I rendered it so But I never figured out how to stop, playing with the hands upon the clock that time forgot That I forgot I promised not, so why you coming to me, asking so tenderly, When you know that it’s wrong, cause too much it gone, your acting so tough, Well enough is enough, it was over I know, a long time ago, and I want you to know, that I just let it go, I rendered it so

Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby You’re only doing me wrong, oh yeah, but my love for you is strong. And when I’m without, and you’re not about, I don’t know if I can go on. Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby Just what am I suppose to do, oh yeah, because I’m so in love with you. And it’s clear to see, that it’s killing me, you know I am telling you the truth. You’re never gonna do what you want to do, You’re never gonna do what you want to do You’re never gonna do what you want to do, You’re never gonna do what you want to do You’re never gonna do what you want to do, so I’ll do it for you. Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby How much am I suppose to take, before the will within me breaks? And I know not why, I even try, what am I suppose to say You’re never gonna do what you want to do, You’re never gonna do what you want to do You’re never gonna do what you want to do, You’re never gonna do what you want to do You’re never gonna do what you want to do, so I’ll do it for you. I say now, Baby, baby, Hey Baby, yeah, yeah Baby, baby, Hey Baby, I say now, Baby, baby, Hey Baby, yeah, yeah Baby, baby, Hey Baby

Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, tonight. I'm feeling I've lost my sense, been sitting upon the fence, I been changing everyday, all the things I seem to say. I know that we're incomplete, we can't seem to make ends meet, and to stay with you tonight, wouldn't make anything right, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, tonight. I feel my senses stir, I feel my faith unfurl, and if it can keep me warm tonight, beyond the doubt of the dead of night, I will take my currency and buy what's mine. Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, tonight. I'm running a 3 leg race, break a bone and cut to the chase we can't pretend that what we feel could amount to something real. I know it's a sacrifice, to shed something so almost nice pawn in all your perfect tries in for milk and honey skies, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, Put your money where your mouth is, And make it all work out right Put your money where your mouth is, tonight.

Asleep at the Wheel If I close my eyes tonight falling start like winding headlights Asleep at the wheel. Time she falls so fast ahead I’m running to you to hold up the things that I said. The seconds step on my heals And I would love to hold you and keep you content Swim through the waters and never relent Stay in your sway, your hearts like a child’s Further the road as I head through the unending miles Yesterday was not what I meant, I’m longing to give you the word that will keep you content, but I do not know how The thoughts of you are filling me up, yet all I do it seems like its never enough, Wipe the sweat from my brow And I would love to hold you and keep you content Swim through the waters and never relent Stay in your sway, your hearts like a child’s Further the road as I head through the unending miles If you hear the telephone, stepping slowly to make my fate your own, the uneven keel If I speak soft and true, pull a warm coat over your shoulders for you How good it would feel And I would love to hold you and keep you content Swim through the waters and never relent Stay in your sway, your hearts like a child’s Further the road as I head through the unending miles Oh the unending miles, Oh the unending miles, Oh the unending miles
7.
Hold On To Me Oh the blood was on your knife and the days turned into weeks When the word got out it bought color to your cheeks Now you’ve hidden it so well you feel like an ass When the subject came up I didn’t have to ask. So hold on, hold on, you’ve got to hold on to me Now it’s underneath your skin and you said that you try And I am standing at your door and my hands are tied So wipe the blade please and we’ll put it in its place Don’t say anything at all cause you know you have my grace So hold on, hold on, you’ve got to hold on to me Oh your careless words only lead me on, don’t be too generous with your charm Cause even love can be the fool twist the thorn in your side Even this I’ve done to you when my goodness subsides So when you’re feeling fever pitched and you’d like to walk away Hesitate a bit and remember what I'd say So hold on, hold on, you’ve got to hold on to me So hold on to me, hold on to me, hold on to me hold on to me

The End 03:24
This is the end. There is nothing left here For me to contend For me to declare It’s so clear now, but I can’t see how. This is the end, And now we’ve come to it. The partings we mend Were always so eminent. My heart is filled with Sorrow and regret Say it again so I don’t forget just yet. This is the end. So I will trust that you Will trust me again It’s all that I can do. I don’t want to though I must do No I don’t want to release you yet. I don’t want to though I must do No I don’t want to release you yet.

All I Ask 03:36
All I Ask All I ask of you is to guard your heart. All I ask of you is to guard your heart. Cause there is so much out there that wants you There is so much out there seek what is true. All I ask of you is to guard your heart. All I ask of you is to guard your heart. Cause there is so much out there that wants you There is so much out there seek what is true. All I ask of you is to guard your heart. All I ask of you is to guard your heart.

Shall I drive you somewhere I’d love to take you away from here we could go wherever you like there’s nothing to stop us from leaving tonight And it’s not to late to make our escape The moment still is ours, ours left to take And if it’s what you want to do, then you know I want it too And I wouldn’t hesitate if you’d just lead the way We could go to someplace new with the past we could be though It could only be our fate to see our troubles pass away So Shall I drive, I’m ready to go The future is open open road. You know we could go whenever you like there’s nothing to stop us from leaving tonight. And it’s not to late to make our escape The moment still is ours, ours left to take And if it’s what you want to do, then you know I want it too And I wouldn’t hesitate if you’d just lead the way We could go to someplace new with the past we could be though It could only be our fate to see our troubles pass away

about

SINGER/SONGWRITER KNOX RELEASES MUSIC FOR PLEASURE

Singer/songwriter Knox creates a rocking debut album in Music for Pleasure.

Knox primarily grew up in Seattle, yet has lived in places all over the world including Japan, Taiwan, England, Germany and France. He now hails from Burien, and first came to the Seattle Music Scene in 2001. After a spate of several successful gigs, demand for a record became clear. The beginning of ‘Music for Pleasure’ had already been penned, yet several years still had to pass before the record came to fruition.

“I must have finished this record 3 to 4 times,” claims Knox, “even after 8 years of life, they still get to me. I love them (the songs) and as I have been listening to the final mixes, I can’t help but get excited." Knox has been building a loyal following while receiving rave reviews from listeners.

“What excited me right off the bat about Knox,” explains listener Jeff S. from Seattle, “was the songs. He has been blessed with an incredible ability to write catchy tunes. Knox writes about the things we all go through and think about and feel on a daily basis in ways that reach across the typical genres of music and appeal to everyone. He is country, he is pop, he is alternative, he is Americana, he is rock.”

“I love songwriting,” Knox explains, “because it doesn’t let me off the hook. If something is sad, I’ll say it. If something is beautiful, then I hope I can describe it in a way that can be seen. But the most important thing for me is to be brutally honest and respond to the thoughts that plague me in the middle of the night. The songs on Music for Pleasure took me by the neck and demanded to be written.” Knox has been compared as a vocalist to Chris Isaac, Elvis Costello and Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, and his songwriting has been labeled “top-notch” by listeners from all over the Pacific Northwest.

Music For Pleasure by 'Knox' is available from many online retailers.
